# How to Disable Comments

Settings -> Discussion

For the **New posts**

De-check:  
"Allow people to submit comments on new posts"

For **Site-wide**

Check:

Automatically close comments on posts older than \[ \] days

(and set that to 1 days if you want to be 100% sure no old post has comments still enabled.
